The Bremen Cancer Registry consists of a trust center and an analysis center, both of which are under joint medical supervision. The data trust center processes data that includes names and addresses. The analysis center analyzes only data that does not contain names. The Bremen Cancer Registry is maintained by the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology (BIPS). The Senator for Health, Women, and Consumer Protection is responsible for the regulatory oversight of the Bremen Cancer Registry.
